The District Deputy’s Minute
Rt. Wor. Richard J. Duhaine

March 2003

Brethren,

I sincerely thank all the Brothers who assisted at the CHIP Event at the Hanson Middle School on February 7.  I remind all of the District of the next CHIP Events at the Abington High School on March 21 and at the East Bridgewater Central School on March 29 along with the dates for our biggest Annual CHIP Event at the Westgate Mall on April 24, 25, 26 and 27.  As ALWAYS  Brothers, any of your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I hope everyone took care of their Valentines on February 14.

The Puritan Lodge Ladies Nite was a great success.  It got a few brethren off the hook, myself included.  :)

We had a great showing at the February 27 Maonic Forum.  There was a delicous Roast Pork dinner served by the Pilgrim Chapter of  Eastern Star #89.  It was a good way to meet our Brethren from Paul Dean Lodge of  Easton and to build upon our friendships.  We have invited them now, in preparation for the new addition of the Paul Dean Lodge to NEW 17th Lodge of Instruction.  This is to become effective on September 25, 2003.

We have two special events coming up in March.  First is the Italian Festival and Flea Market  on Saturday, March 1, at the VET'S CLUB, Rt. 18 Bridgewater sponsored by Baalis Sanford Lodge.  Don't miss this!!!!  Festivities start at 2:00 P.M., with dinner showtimes at 3:45, 5:15, and the final show at 6:45 with the festival winding down at 8:00 P.M..  Tickets are $15.00.

Second is the Irish Nite sponsored  by the Fellowship Lodge on March 7, and this is also at the VETS CLUB, Rt. 18 in Bridgewater.  I hope to see all of you there to support  our district lodges' events.  We can eat and be entertained like world travelers.  Both events will be lots of  fun!!

Finally there will be an Exemplification on March 26.  This will be a breeze for the 17th District as our consistency in Ritual has always been high and I have no doubt that it will continue.

Fraternally,

Rich
